Civil Society Organizations - Syria

This is just one of the millions of stories of the struggle for peace and justice in Syria. Many of these stories will remain untold, buried along with their victims and lost in the devastation and propaganda. Yet tyrants still rule the lands they have torn apart and drenched in blood. Every day, the death toll rises as tens of thousands of innocents continue to suffer and die in the shadows of these political prisons.


By sharing their story, you can help ensure these atrocities are never forgotten and help build enough international awareness and support to one day bring freedom to the detainees and justice to the perpetrators. The Syrian Network for Human Rights is a UK-based independent monitoring group, which monitors casualties and briefs various United Nations agencies. It monitors Syrian casualties of all the parties in the Syrian civil war.

We are a non-profit organization established in order to empower the Syrian civil society in Deir ez-Zor governorate in response to the urgent need for the reconstruction of work areas and strengthening the roles of the target groups to participate in the development of the local community. Established in March 2018

Mari RD is a non-for-profit civil society organization. It was established in 2018 and registered in northeast Syria and Canada. MRD seeks to build a stable and just society where peace and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms prevail.

The Syrian Archive aims to support human rights investigators, advocates, media reporters, and journalists in their efforts to document human rights violations in Syria and worldwide through developing new open source tools as well as providing a transparent and replicable methodology for collecting, preserving, verifying and investigating visual documentation in conflict areas.
